Position

As Head of Projects you are responsible for the successful delivery of customer projects. Your department consists of both Project Managers and Project Engineers. Your team of approximately 12 employees focuses on translating customer needs to the products and ensuring that you deliver the products in time, within budget and according to the customer requirements. You manage the team and motivate, stimulate and coach them. Besides that, you make sure that people have the right knowhow and resources to do their work. You make sure that information is up-to-date and you monitor the progress of the projects. Also, you cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, and ensure the delivery of exceptional solutions that meet or exceed expectations. In this role you closely collaborate with sales, new product development, production and service departments to maximize customer satisfaction by delivering the required products. Part of this role is to visit customers and the location in Germany (approximately 20% of your time). You report directly to the Manager of Europe.

Profile

Minimum of Higher Professional Education level, preferably in the field of Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or other Engineering disciplines.
Over 5 years’ experience in a management role related to project leadership.
Experience in process automation, robotics, automated guided vehicles or related.
You are a system thinker, process-focused and customer oriented.
Analytical, with the ability to see the bigger picture and decisive.
You are a people manager, who has experience in leading a multinational team and is energized by coaching and developing those teams.
Excellent verbal and written knowledge of English. Mastering the German language is a bonus.
Based in an acceptable distance of Utrecht.

Our client, Oceaneering Mobile Robotics (140 employees), is an innovative developer and producer of logistics solutions based on autonomous mobile robotics technology (AMR). The company is part of Oceaneering International with more than 10.000 employees across the world. Oceaneering Mobile Robotics develops three types of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV). The first type is the UniMover, an underride mobile robot, which is mainly used for logistics within hospitals. The second type is the MaxMover, a large mobile forklift. This type is primarily used for the transportation of incoming goods to the warehouses. The last type is the CompactMover, which is a smaller version of the MaxMover.
